Tower of London

The Jewel House at the Tower of London is where The Crown Jewels are kept and protected by armed guards. The Crown Jewels are a collection of priceless royal regalia used by the monarch for important ceremonies, such as the Coronation and the State Opening of Parliament.

The Crown Jewels have been on display to the public at the Tower of London since 1661. The collection consists of more than 100 objects and over 23,000 gemstones, being of incalculable cultural, historical, and symbolic value. They are part of the Royal Collection, held in trust by the monarch for the nation.

2.5 million people visit the Tower of London each year to see the Crown Jewels.
